Better than average strip mall diner. The inside is clean and bright, the service friendly and fast, and the food competent. We are talking about comfort food here, like burgers, grilled cheese, etc., but with a southern flare. The bread pudding for dessert is $1.25, but maybe not worth quite that much. Fill up on the meal. Bottom line: For a quick stop in an area otherwise devoid of places to eat, this may be the best bet.

I normally try to visit a place 3 times before writing a review but I just had to make an exception for this horrid little joint... mostly because I wish to save everyone from this disaster and I never plan on returning if I can help it. Save yourself the $24 bill for the most awful morning meal you will ever choke down. Came here for breakfast. I ordered the #2. I wanted to have country fried steak but when I asked whether it was fresh or frozen, I was told it was frozen. It became apparent that the only things freshly cooked were the eggs and those needed alot of help. My meal showed up and the potatoes were bad. They were supposed to be a country style vegetable with green pepper and onion but because they were frozen, the green pepper and onion were pitiful, the potatoes themselves were barely edible. Who screws up breakfast? Things gotta be pretty bad if you can't manage to make a homemade breakfast. I implore the masses of Green Valley, do us all a service and do not eat here. We really need to send a message to slobs who think they can open a restaurant and serve frozen food barely heated. Do we really need this as part of our restaurant selection? The answer is an emphatic "NO!" Let me end by saying... who's mama is cooking in this kitchen? Not mine. Maybe this mama is culinarily challenged. Someone needs to encourage their mama to take some cooking classes and close her restaurant.

I think this place is awesome for breakfast in green valley you don't find many places to eat and this place i think is better the Jerry bobs. the prices in my opinion are very low for breakfast food. the staff is a little slow by that i mean the waitress

Mamas kitchen is a good place for decent breakfast with quick service. I swear by the eggs Benedict which have yet to disappoint me in probably a dozen visits in the past year. Booths are far from comfy..... Guess management doesn't want to encourage lingerers. Other disappointment is the restrooms are NOT in the restaurant, but about 5 doors away in public hallway with two one-holers! Quite inconvenient and I wonder how many people skip out on their checks !

Great friendly service, delicious breakfast! Perfect portions. My family and I loved it. Glad we checked this place out.

This place has great chicken terriyaki salad. At a fair price. Service is great they always have a smile. Hard to find good service in the green valley / Sahuarita area any more.

I had read previous reviews and was a little timid about eating here. But since I was visiting family in Green Valley and there aren't many options for breakfast we decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed because we got what we were expecting.....a small Ma & Pa type diner/restaurant. If you go in expecting it to be more than that, of course you will be disappointed. Overall the food was decent and worth what we paid. Would I eat here again? Yes, the service is good, the people are nice, and the food is decent. Eat the French Toast, it was tasty. Pass on the potatoes, as previous reviews mentioned, they aren't very good.

Wowhmm how much creativity does it take to dump some frozen white potatoes from a sack into a deep fat fryer? They were crisp but lifeless and tasteless. The biscuit must have been sleeping in the microwave as it was tough and quite grumpy. Chicken fried steak or the strange gravy had an odd twang - not like a good country twang but like no one had ordered this dish from sometime twangggg. Coffee ...... gee, very bland. French toast was made with Giant Texas White Bread - ugh. Sadly another Green Valley low quality place to eat - well not for me.

Great little greasy spoon type diner. Had a breakfast special, chorizo and eggs with refried beans, home fries, and corn tortillas. Very tasty, and with great freshly made salsa. The coffee was also probably the best I've ever had in a cheap diner.

A year and two days since my last visit. Same-same which is good. If you're expecting gourmet, fuggedit. This is filling food, period. Prices up a little but so is everyone else. Service was attentive and prompt. Food as ordered. Belly full. Off to golf.

I liked Mama's Kitchen well enough to give it an extra star for cleanliness. I thought the food was simply marginal and the seating system is very lax but overall, you could go here and have yourself a nice breakfast or lunch and some good conversation. I had Mama's Breakfast: 2 eggs any style, home fried potatoes, bacon and I substituted a buckwheat pancake for the normal biscuit/toast/muffin choice. I doubt we will be making a beeline back here soon but it's nice to know it's there and better than Denny's if we wanted to!
